Video Game Music rambles, before you ask:- Keiki Kobayashi's work on Ace Combat 7 is so epic. Stuff like Dual Wielder and Gunther Bay gets me going. To be honest, the entire soundtrack even aside from Keiki Kobayashi's contributions is epic. Every track set a cool tone that really put me in the pilot's seat and immersed me in the awesomeness.- Jose Pavli's work on Project Wingman is really cool as well (I mentioned Ace Combat now I have to mention PW), although quite different from Ace Combat stuff. The amount of intimacy afforded in Jose's storytelling is wonderful but never to be underestimated for how powerful it can sound.- Olivier Deriviere's work for Dying Light 2 seems very well designed (I haven't played the game myself nor listened to the whole thing so I can't say it IS, but from what I've heard it sounds smart). I like how it's written and produced (fitting the 'otherworldly/unfamiliar' vibe they were going for) and hearing Olivier talk about his music system fills me with such passion for the craft. If you're looking for information on music design (designing systems for adaptive music in video games) I highly recommend Olivier's videos breaking down his work for Dying Light 2. In my opinion it's a fantastic time! The quality of the videos is insane for information from the composer himself.- I love Disasterpeace for his work on Hyper Light Drifter. The sparse ideas presented assemble themselves so satisfyingly over time. Experienced in-game, Disasterpeace uses the dynamic music system to his full advantage, making the assembly seamless and the way the music amps up during combat so awesome. I already adore the tone of HLD and Disasterpeace has added that much more to it.- Kyle Hnedak's music brings fantastical atmosphere and frightening boss themes to the 2D Soulslike Death's Gambit: Afterlife. I loved this game and its soundtrack was one of my main inspirations to get into composing. Please check it out if you have time!

more about me.

- I consider myself of quite high potential as a yapper. I apologize if I ever talk too much, or ever too arrogantly. That's a weakness of mine I'm working on.
- My timezone is UTC+7. This is a nice, clean 12 hours ahead of America, making it very difficult for me to arrange a VC with my American friends. Sorry guys.
- Aside from liking music, I also like art. I used to try and learn to draw, but now I'm not as actively pursuing it anymore. I'm still not sure what my favorite medium of artistic expression is.
- If you're looking for new wireless earbuds, allow me to recommend the Soundcore Space A40. I got these for like 50 USD. Aside from just sounding good (worn right, they sound bigger than just 'earbuds') they also come with LDAC capability (lossless Bluetooth audio ensuring the crispiest sound) and wondrous active noise cancellation. Did I mention their impressive battery life and durable+aesthetically pretty case? Or that the case soft-closes? Imagine an earbud case that doesn't click horribly loud when you close it. You'll never feel bad about cracking out your buds on the train ever again!
